Sony Ericsson leaks T707 clamshell handset in China    [ 08-03-2009 23:56 ]

It would seem that a currently unannounced Sony Ericsson handset - the T707, has leaked at a Sony Ericsson press event, held in China. By the looks of it, the T707 is the non-Walkman version of the company's W508 handset.

The Sony Ericsson T707 should be available on the market, starting from May onwards, as for handset pricing, that's currently unknown. Known features of the T707 are as follows:

  • Connectivity: Quad-band GSM, HSDPA
  • Internal Display: 2.2", QVGA resolution
  • Camera: 3.2MP, fixed-focus lens
  • Memory: 1GB M2 memory card in box
  • Extras: Bluetooth connectivity, with A2DP support
  • Weight: 98 grams
  • Dimensions: 93 x 50 x 14 mm

The successor to LG's Viewty handset - the GC900, has been leaked online. The GC900 shares many features with its predecessor, though some of the main features have been beefed up. Of note, this is the third LG handset that's known to come with LG's new S-Class User Interface.


As for now, no details on pricing for the GC900 are known, and a concrete release date is not yet known. Although, it's said that the GC900 should be available in the Spring season. Known handset features are as follows:

  • Connectivity: 7.2 Mbps HSDPA
  • Display: 3" touchscreen, 800 x 480 pixels - WVGA resolution
  • Camera: 8MP, Auto and Manual focus, image stabilizer, Xenon flash, face detection
  • Extras: Wi-Fi, GPS, built-in Accelerometer, DivX and Xvid support,
