O2 UK Will NOT be Selling the N97    [ 05-06-2009 18:57 ]

O2 UK have decided not to sell the forthcoming Nokia N97 in its own stores, instead the N97 will only be available on O2 through the Carphone Warehouse. This marks O2 out as the only major British network not to offer its customers the N97 and some are wondering if it won't have a change of mind. O2 declined to sell the N96, but relented just a month later so it wouldn't be at all surprising if the same thing happened this time around. Of course O2 is getting set for the imminent launch of the new iPhone, widely expected to be announced at WWDC next week and rumour has it that O2 is also putting away cash for later in the year, presumably for the launch of the Palm Pre so perhaps they won't change their mind on the N97 after all ...
