Another New 12 MP Samsung?    [ 04-06-2009 16:35 ]

Some more Samsung gossip for you in the aftermath of the announcement of the Pixon 12. Today we see a possible leaked shot of a new 12 MP Samsung handset. Whilst some may claim it to be the afore mentioned Pixon 12 Phone Arena point out that the flash is positioned slightly different and that the labels aren't the same. The writing around the lens can also be made out to say 'optical 3x zoom'. WiFi and GPS are apparently present, which would lend credence to this being the Pixon12 since that also supports those fetaures, then again one would expect a suitably high-end handset to have such features. Sony Ericsson Announces 2 New Green Phones    [ 04-06-2009 14:03 ]

Author: Irina Turina   Source: Mobiwoo     Translation by: Administrator    Send news to friend  Discuss in forum

Sony Ericsson today announced two new handsets as part of its GreenHeart series of environmentally friendly handsets. The handsets are the C901 and Naite, continuing the trend of giving handsets actual names rather than just designations. The C901 features environmentally friendly features such as an e-manual, which saves 90% of the paper normally used in producing a paper manual. The C901's casing is made from at least 50% recycled plastic and its display uses 50% less energy than standard displays. Finally the handset is coated with a special paint that reduces exposure to volatile organic compounds. Naite, the second handset announced, comes with a low power charger.

Specifications wise the handsets pack in some nice features too. The C901comes with a 5 MP camera, 2.2" 262k colour display, 16x digital zoom, auto-focus, A2DP, HSDPA, a-GPS and M2 support. Naite comes with a 2 MP camera, 2.5x digital zoom, A2DP and a 2.2" 262k colour screen. Unlike the C901 Naite supports microSD cards.
