Samsung apparently unveiling world's first 12MP cameraphone at the Mobile World Congress    [ 02-02-2009 23:37 ]

It's rumoured that Samsung, who released the world's first 8MP caameraphone - the i8510, are set to present the world's first 12 MP cameraphone, later this month, at the Mobile World Congress, to be held in Barcelona, Spain, between the dates of 16^th and 19^th of February. In terms of technical specifications of the device, currently, there are none known, though, there won't be long to wait. It's being touted that Samsung want to begin mass production of this device by the end of this month, with it being initially launched in Europe, with other regions to follow.

Samsung S3500 mid-range handset leaked    [ 02-02-2009 23:21 ]

A mid-range Samsung slider handset - the S3500 has leaked online. Smewhat baring a likeness to the company's U900 Soul handset, the S3500 dosen't have the same spec list as the U900, being as it's a lower-end handset than the U900.

Price-wise, there is no information on the price of the S3500, though it shouldn't be too out of this world. It's known that the S3500 will be launched in both Europe and Asia, but it's not known exactly when this will occur. Known technical specifications of the S3500 are as follows:

• Connectivity: Quad-band GSM, GPRS, EDGE
• Display: QVGA resolution, shows up to 262 thousand colours
• Camera: 2MP
• Memory: 35MB internal, MicroSD card slot
• Extras: Bluetooth and USB 2.0 connectivity
• Dimensions: 99.9 x 48.0 x 13.9 mm
