Spotify on the iPhone ... A Month of No News    [ 27-08-2009 16:11 ]

Author: Klimov Oleg   Source: IntoMobile     Translation by: Administrator    Send news to friend  Discuss in forum

A small update on the Spotify iPhone app front ... there is no update! Despite having sent in their app around amonth ago now Spotify still haven't heard back from Apple one way or the other. After submitting the app there were a few technical follow-up questions to be answered, but then nothing. That can be seen as both good and bad of course; on the one hand no approval after a month doesn't look good, but it also shows that Apple must be mulling it over and not simply rejecting it out of hand. Most apps, around 95%, are approved or rejected within a week of submition. Many have commented that a Spotify iPhone app would compete directly with Apple's own iTunes service because it would allow the searching of and downloading of music and we all know what happens to apps that compete directly with Apple ... a la Google Voice. At any rate they say no news is good news so let's keep our fingers crossed that we see Spotify on the iPhone.
