Android Event 10th September: Make or Break for Moto?    [ 25-08-2009 21:32 ]

With their handset division is little short of a meltdown Motorola really needs something soon if they hope to stage a comeback. 10th September could be the day that is remembered as the making or breaking of Motorola. On that day Motorola are staging a press event in San Francisco centred around Google's Android platform. LG Arena Sells 1 Million+ In 5 Months    [ 25-08-2009 14:01 ]

Author: Irina Turina   Source: IntoMobile     Translation by: Administrator    Send news to friend  Discuss in forum

The touchscreen market is certainly very competitive and is becoming even more so. One of the most successful companies in this space has been LG, which has seen phenomenal success with its lower end Cookie handset. At the high-end Apple still rules the roost with its iPhone, but LG look to be doing well there too with the announcement that the Arena has sold more than 1 million units in just over 5 months of sales. That's a pretty big achievement given how competitive things have gotten and how much influence the iPHone wields at the higher end of the market. Having said that the iPhone isn't a cheap option and the Arena has often been competitively priced with other high-end non-touchscreen handsets, which has no doubt made it more attractive to the budget conscious in these times of recession.
