It seems that fashion aficionados around the globe have finally found the device of their dreams in LG's unique all-fashion device, created together with Prada. If you think otherwise, then here is a proof you won't be able to deny - according to LG's recent press release they have managed to sell over a million units of the Prada phone, which is quite a milestone for such a quaint offering.
Here is what LG's officials had to say on this success: "Since its March 2007 debut the Prada Phone by LG has been recognized as one of the world’s most sophisticated handset combining innovative design with technological breakthroughs including the first complete touch screen. This visionary approach by intimate and productive partnership from two vastly different industries became a platform for new design opportunities and opened doors to diverse multimedia experiences." Also, encouraged by the strong market response, LG and Prada have committed to further collaborations and will launch an update to the original Prada phone in the 4Q of 2008. However, it'll be up against much tougher competition this time around, with Samsung and other phone makers picking up on this trend.

The first handset to be powered by Google’s Android OS has been officially announced – the T-Mobile G1, to be available exclusively on the T-Mobile network. G1 will sport seamless integration with Google applications – namely the seven applications it comes pre-installed with – which are as follows: Search, Mail, Maps, Gmail, Contacts, Calendar, GTalk, and, the Youtube application. This is hardly surprising, being as Android is a Google-driven OS, but, it’s nice too see that the applications will all work together – synching with Google’s online services, and the like. This means, that any change you make – for instance, adding a contact to your Gmail account on the G1, will also appear on Gmail on your computer desktop. Priced at $179, on a two-year contract, it’s to be available from October 22nd in the US. It’ll also be available for $399 sim-free. As for other countrys, the launch dates range from November, into early 2009.
Tech specs are as follows:
