Ten smartphones n development from LG    [ 21-10-2008 21:36 ]

Author: Irina Turina   Source: unwiredview     Translation by: Administrator    Send news to friend  Discuss in forum

Smartphones aren't something you would usually instantly think og, when thinking of LG's mobile phone division, as, currently, they mainly focous on fashionable handsets, though very few are low on features. Anyway, it seems, from now on, LG will be taking the smartphone market seriously, as it's being reported that the company is working on ten smartphones alone, which are all schedule for release in various parts of next year.

LG's marketshare has grown of late, but, the can't rely on dumbphones forever. It's said that at least one of the smartphones will run on Windows Mobile, and Symbian OS, and Linux smartphones are being considered as a possibility. Don't forget, LG plans to release a smartphone, running on the Android OS, which should be available in just under a year from now, so it's nice to see LG not relying soley on just one or two Operating Systems.

The red version of the 105EM's frame in comstructed of 24K gold, as are the handset's screws, and the buttons, again, of sapphire crystal, but, this time, painted with 24K gold paint, not silver, like the white version. Lastly, the body of the 105CLB is comprised entierly of sapphire crystal, the handset's frame of aluminum, with nickel coating, and, the 105CLB's battery cover is constucted entierly of sapphire crystal, just like the handset's body. As is the case with Mobiado handsets, no details on pricing, r availability are available. All of the three handsets have the same spec sheet, which goes as follows:
