HTC Touch HD to start shipping from November 6th    [ 16-10-2008 20:31 ]

HTC's Touch HD, it's main feat being it's 3.5" touchscreen, with a resolution of 800 x 480 (WVGA), will begin shipping, certainly in Europe, and possibly Asia, coming November 6th.

Though, obviously, given its extensive feature set - it's not just a one-trick pony (5MP camera, Wi-Fi, 528 MHz processor etc), it's going to come at a premium - around €649/$869 US, before taxes and subsidies.

Nokia's Q3 earnings decrease by 30%    [ 16-10-2008 18:09 ]

Today, Nokia's quarterly earnings report has revealed that the company's earnings, for the third quarter of the year dropped by around €500,000, which equates to 30%. Also of note in the report, it revealed that Nokia's marketshare has dipped by 2%, and, overall sales dipped by 5%. However, despite the decline in earnigs, this is sure to change pretty soon, what with the 5800 Tube touchscreen handset being available soon, and, of course, the N-Series touchscreen phone schedule coming shortly afterwards.
