HTC aims to ship one million G1's, and three million Touch Diamonds, by year's end    [ 25-11-2008 00:52 ]

Author: Klimov Oleg   Source: pocket-lint     Translation by: Administrator    Send news to friend  Discuss in forum

HTC's CEO Peter Chou, says the company expect to ship up to one million G1 handsets, which runs the open-source Google Android OS and up to three million Touch Diamond handsets, which runs on Windows Mobile 6.1, by year's end. Originally, HTC were expected to only ship around 600,000 G1's, so it seems the G1 is doing better than previously anticipated. As for the Diamond, that was originally thought to ship around two million, so, that too seems to be exceeding expectations.
