Author: Serge Novikov   Source: engadget mobile     Translation by: Administrator    Send news to friend  Discuss in forum

It seems Nokia, who have the most global marketshare currently, are set to axe around six hundred jobs, across the world. In a press release, Nokia cited that it needs to “sharpen its focus on fewer but stronger research areas”. So, it seems that job cuts are approaching early next year, with 450 employees from the company's market division, 130 from Nokia's Research Centre, and, thirty five employees from various other units presumabley facing the axe. Although, Nokia themselves state that these employees are only "affected", yet, another source says the employees are actually to be laid-off.
