Touchscreen phone literally fits in the palm of your hand    [ 06-06-2008 18:58 ]

Thin phones, tall phones, there's something for everyone in this day and age. There are small phones, and then there are small phones. Like the Neon 7, for instance. probably the smallest touchscreen phone around. You'd expect a phone this small to heavily skimp on features, but, for a device of its size, the Neon 7 is fairly competent, feature-wise. The screen is of quite a good size, given how small the handset is. It is out now, priced at an acceptable $199 USD

Now, a run-down of the specs:

  • Connectivity: GSM 850/1800/1900MHz
  • Screen: 1.9” touchscreen
  • Camera: 1.3 megapixels
  • Memory: Trans Flash/MicroSD card slot
  • Extras: Bluetooth, with A2DP support, handwriting recognition, and speech Synthesis – to read out menus, and incoming call numbers

Demand for Flash Memory on the increase    [ 06-06-2008 17:35 ]

Author: Irina Turina   Source: digitimes     Translation by: Administrator    Send news to friend  Discuss in forum

A while back, we reported that flash memory was on the decline, even with Apple placing many orders. A few weeks later, and flash memory, as well as DRAM is on the up. So, it seems it holds true that the month of May is a typically slow-burning month. Although the demand still isn't that high, given that it's only been a few weeks since we reported about the decline, demand looks to increase in the coming months. Manufacturers such as Samsung, and Kingston are the main leaders in the SDRAM sector, so we're sure they'll appreciate the demand.
