New cameraphone patent from Nokia    [ 03-06-2008 23:28 ]

Author: Irina Turina   Source: Engadgetmobile     Translation by: Administrator    Send news to friend  Discuss in forum

Nokia's N93 form-factor may not be seen until 2010, but you'll get the same big camera lens sooner than you think. In its latest patent, Nokia shows a slider phone, with a camera mounted on the side of the device – ala the N93.

What many are calling the N85 may have a WQVGA 240 X 400) screen, and at least a five megapixel camera. The patent looks to be another video recording-focused device from Nokia, which, like the N93, aims to replace mini digital video recorders.

New pictures of SE Xperia emerge – comes in two colours    [ 03-06-2008 16:58 ]

Author: Serge Novikov   Source: SonyEricsson blog     Translation by: Administrator    Send news to friend  Discuss in forum

Sony Ericsson's Xperia X1 is due to launch in September (however, in view of its still-crude software there is a very good chance it won't make it), and we have some new pictures to wet your appetite. When the X1 was announced, it was shown only in one colour - black. But, as you can see below, it is shown in silver too. Weather the silver version will actually see the light of day remains to be seen.

HTC's Diamond now available    [ 03-06-2008 14:32 ]

Author: Serge Novikov     Translation by: Administrator    Send news to friend  Discuss in forum

HTC's much anticipated Diamond handset has began shipping - the company has reportedly shipped around ten thousand handsets already. For now, it appears to be only available in Hong Kong, but should be available in other markets later on in the month. As you may know, T-Mobile Germany will sell two versions – the regular Diamond, and another with a smoother rear surface, and a slide-out QWERTY keyboard.

Meanwhile you can read our take on the HTC Diamond and impressions from a hands-on session (full review in the works) here.
