Samsung appear to be working on a Symbian S60 handset, with its key selling points being an eight megapixel camera, and 16GB internal memory.


The tentative specs are as follows:

  • Connectivity: HSDPA support
  • 2.8” QVGA screen, showing up to sixteen million colours
  • 8 megapixel camera, with autofocus, and Xenon Flash
  • Video recording: 120 FPS, with DivX support
  • Memory: 16GB internal, there may be an 8GB version too, ala the i900
  • Extras: Wif-Fi, GPS, TV-Out, 3D graphics chip, on-screen optical mouse
  • Battery: 1200 mAh Slider form factor, with metal casing
  • Dimensions: 106.5x53.9x16.9 mm

The first live pictures of Blackberry's upcoming Thunder handset have surfaced, which you can see below. As you can see, there's the obvious virtual QWERTY keyboard, with tactile feedback, and SureType entry in portrait mode – with two digits per key, and multi-touch support. Don't worry about tapping at the screen too hard, as it's made of glass.



The tactile feedback feature doesn't make the whole device vibrate, but rather only the actual bit of the screen you touch. The virtual keyboard is nice and large, ideal for those with large hands. It looks like the Menu button will still play a big role as ever, instead of grouping all of the options on the main menu.
