The FCC site has posted the detailed info on a new mobile phone by Huawei Technologies - U5707. This is a clamshell dual mode phone for WCDMA (850 and 2100 MHz) and GSM (900/1800/1900 MHz) networks, so you can use it in several continents. The shell features smooth, rounded design without an external display. When you open the phone you see a flat touchscreen keyboard.

Today Nokia reported that Nokia N95 8GB became the first mobile phone with DLNA certificate (Digital Living Network Alliance). DLNA is the company promoting compatibility of wire and wireless home appliances. Haier is about to release its HG-N99 communicator, which supports two SIM cards. That is the user gets the opportunity to receiver calls on both numbers. Digitimes.com with the reference to the Commercial Times reported that such mobile vendors as MWG (ex. O2 Asia), i-mate and Palm had recently resumed smartphone cooperation with High Tech Technologies (HTC). Thus HTC’s share in ODM-business will be over 10% of total income in 1Q 2008.

At the same time HTC got less than 10% of income from ODM-orders in 4Q 2007. The company expects to release 10-12 own new mobile devices in 2008.
