Author: Irina Turina   Source: DigiTimes     Translation by: Rytchkova Anja    Send news to friend  Discuss in forum

Kopin has introduced the world smallest (by own estimates) display of SVGA (800x600 pixels) resolution at CES 2008. The CyberDisplay has a 0.44” diagonal. Earlier the company had created the same size display, but of smaller resolution – 640x480. The users can watch video on the CyberDisplay in special glasses. The samples are already available for tests. The company says that the previous SVGA display (commercially available) features a 0.59” diagonal and 100 mW power consumption. The 0.44” version takes 45% less room and consumes 30% less power.
