Apple has reported it dropped the price for the 1GB iPod shuffle down to $49 and soon will release a 2GB version. Apple iPod shuffle is the tiniest of the iPod players, packed in an aluminum shell it comes in silver, blue, green, purple and red (special edition) color solutions. According to the company this is the world’s most wearable music player.


The 1GB iPod shuffle is already available at $49 in Apple and Apple Store centers in the US. And the new 2GB player will be in stores by the end of February listed for $69.

According to the developers, the update comes with lots of improvements directly related to the users’ feedback:

  • Significant performance improvements
  • First time sync within 5 minutes of first run
  • “Exit” Zumobi from within the application
  • Improved placement of new Tiles from the Gallery
  • Single installation file for both touchscreen and non-touchscreen devices
