LG has announced a special edition of its Shine handset – Iron Man, decked in 18 karat gold. LG joined forces with Paramount Pictures, for the upcoming Iron Man film. The Iron Man Shine's are to be given away in a marketing competition, but no details are available at this time.

LG and Paramount are hosting a website not yet launched, to promote the Iron Man film, and visitors can register, for a chance to win an Iron Man Shine.

Griffin Technology has announced a case for the iPhone, with included signal booster. A strong criticism of the iPhone has been its flaky reception. What's more, Griffin promises that the ClearBoost antenna will also offer faster browsing speeds.

Whilst it may not look all that attractive, we're sure users can compromise looks for better reception, and faster browsing. But, will it live up to its claims? Griffin had this to say on the subject: You can expect to see improvements that won't necessarily be reflected in the number of bars on your iPhone"
