Author: Irina Turina     Translation by: Rytchkova Anja    Send news to friend  Discuss in forum

The US Federal Communications Commission (FCC) has approved a new Philips Xenium handset with enhanced battery life. It is marked 9@9u and unlike the 9@9k it’s not that long lasting ensuring “only” one month standby and up to 8 hours of talks on a single charge.

The FCC materials provide some specs of the phone. The Xenium 9@9u works in GSM/GPRS 900/1800/1900 MHz networks and comes with a 262K color display, an FM-radio, an MP3-player, a 2-megapixel camera, an expansion slot for microSD cards, Bluetooth and USB.

Samsung SCH-R610 slider    [ 22-11-2007 10:44 ]

Author: Serge Novikov     Translation by: Rytchkova Anja    Send news to friend  Discuss in forum

The FCC site has posted the info on another Samsung handset. This time we have a CDMA phone SCH-R610 in the slider form. The model will be available from the North American operator MetroPCS Wireless. The SCH-R610 doesn’t have anything outstanding for an up-to-date phone with the card slot, the built-in camera, Bluetooth and standard set of applications.

The short specs of Samsung SCH-R610:

  • Messages: SMS, EMS, MMS
  • Storage cards - microSD
  • Built-in 1.3-megapixel camera with video capture
  • Voice control
  • Bluetooth
  • Misc: calendar, text notes, alarm clock, world time, calculator, stopwatch, measure converter.
