Jeff Hawkins, one of Palm’s founders, is rumored to unveil next week a 3rd product category that’s neither a handheld nor a smartphone.

Mr. Hawkins has been talking about his company’s plans to create such a product for about two years now. And now the situation is getting clearer. There are lots of predictions of what it will be. The new Palm device is expected to be a kind of an ultra mobile PC referred to as the Hawk. If we believe the rumors, we’ll know the details on the product very soon.

Rumors: iPhone with GPS next year [ 24-05-2007 16:04 ]

Navigadget has posted a rumor that there will be the iPhone with the GPS-receiver announced in spring 2008. Reportedly, it will be likely built on SiRF Star III chip. Apple plans to apply Assisted GPS (A-GPS) technology, the source says. It stands out for minimum location time and the capability to work in environment with lots of objects disturbing the signal, for example, buildings and trees.

There are spy pics of a new Sony Ericsson communicator (P3i) in the Internet. Justamp reports that design is based on the M600, though with different color solution. Its display is likely to have a QVGA resolution, 260K colors and a 2.8” diagonal. Besides the device features a 3.2-megapixel camera, Wi-Fi support, GSM/EDGE 900/1800/1900 and HSDPA networks, the source says.

Probably the P3i is an heir of the P1. However the origin of the photo raises some doubts, there is a possibility that we deal with another creation of a photo editor. So let’s wait for more details.
