According to the Korean news sources Pantech is to introduce next month its slimmest handset. Being 9.9 mm thick it is positioned as the slimmest slider ever released on the local market. Currently Samsung is the leader with its 12.9-mm phone. The company could make such a slim phone by using magnetic fields in the opening mechanism.
The phone is equipped with a 1.3-megapixel camera, an MP3-player and supports T-DMB. The device is expected to be released in April at about 500 000 Won, i.e. $527.
