Boy Genius Report has shared the specs of the BlackBerry Pearl 2 (Komet) smartphone. It will be the successor of the BlackBerry Pearl (8100) released last fall. The Komet smartphone will be equipped with a 3.2-megapixel camera and Wi-Fi module, says the source. Unlike the previous rumors, now there are no details on an integrated GPS-receiver.

Samsung Electronics has unveiled its mobile phone series called “Beautiful Technology” at the CommunicAsia 2007 show. The series contains 3 models, some of them are already available: the SGH-E950, SGH-E840 and SGH-J600. All of them incorporate stylish design, slider form-factor and frontal sensor buttons.

At the current CommunicAsia 2007 event in Singapore Samsung Electronics has introduced its new music phone SGH-F210. It is packed in the rotator form-factor like some Motorola phones. In closed position the F210 looks more like an MP3-player rather than a phone.

Boy Genius Report has posted live pics of Motorola’s smartphone Q9m. This product has recently popped up in the news as Nelson. According to not yet confirmed info, the device is designed for CDMA EV-DO and will be released from Verizon Wireless. The source mentions an integrated QWERTY-keyboard, a miniUSB port, Bluetooth interface and miniSD card support. As for the camera, it is a 1.3-megapixel one instead of a 2-megapixel unit, according to the previous rumors.
