LG Electronics has signed an agreement with YouTube, the video-sharing website. LG plans to release a cellphone supporting the service. According to the company, the new model will enable users to upload, view and share video clips from YouTube online without using computers. In addition it involves a special interface for easy and comfortable access to the source.

The LG phone that fully supports the YouTube service is expected in the second half of 2007. It will come first to the European market and by the end of this year it will be available worldwide.

Nokia has licensed the VibeTonz from Immersion. The VibeTonz is a tactile feedback system, it can be used to play games, listen to the music or ringtones and so on.

Under the agreement Nokia will supply devices supporting the VibeTonz service worldwide. Immersion will supply the VibeTonz developer kit to Forum Nokia, so one can download and use it for application development.

BenQ has also introduced a new 7-megapixel camera C740i, an upgrade to BenQ C740. The device is equipped with Pentax lens (3x optical zoom) and supports face-tracking function, Shake Free, direct printing mode (PictBridge). The C740i features 3:2 and 16:9 special output sizes, the high ISO portrait mode (up to ISO 1600), Program AE, Aperture priority and Shutter priority/manual.

BenQ has unveiled its 8-megapixel digital still camera E820, an heir of BenQ E720. The new camera comes with Pentax lens (3x optical zoom). BenQ E820 can snap photos in two modes – 3:2 and 16:9. The camera features a face-tracking function for more distinct portrait shots and Shake Free function.
