Meet HTC Vox smartphone    [ 24-01-2007 12:56 ]

Author: Verà Kozlova     Translation by: Rytchkova Anja    Send news to friend  Discuss in forum

HTC Vox smartphone is already familiar to us from rumors. According to unofficial info, this is a smartphone with a digital and a QWERTY- sliding keyboard. There is enough info on the specs, however the situation with photos is much worse – a couple of images and blurred “live” photos.

Now “The Boy Geniuos Report” has posted detailed images of the device. They do not seem to be the official images, however they are of good quality and agree with the previous photos.

If the rumor is true, the smartphone will be equipped with a 2.4” display, TI OMAP 850 200 MHz CPU, 64 MB RAM and 128 MB flash ROM, a 2-megapixel camera and an expansion slot for microSD cards. HTC Vox is said to support GSM, GPRS and EDGE networks and Wi-Fi and Bluetooth cordless technologies.

Author: Verà Kozlova   Source: Pocketinfo.nl     Translation by: Rytchkova Anja    Send news to friend  Discuss in forum

According to Pocketinfo.nl, HTC Athena communicator will be released by T-Mobile operator and called T-Mobile AMEO. I’d remind you that this is the very device with unusual form-factor and a 5” display, making an impression of a UMPC and PDA hybrid. The release is expected to take place soon, especially taking into account the images of the AMEO (probably, official).

In all, these specs confirm the earlier info with minor exceptions. For example, the device will be equipped with a 3-megapixel camera (not 2-megapixel).

The specs of T-Mobile AMEO:

Author: Serge Novikov     Translation by: Rytchkova Anja    Send news to friend  Discuss in forum

Ron Garriques, the head of Motorola’s mobile unit, has introduced the document “2007, Mobile Devices: Our Strategy” at the presentation of financial reports. The presentation mentioned mobile phones models to appear in 2007, but nit yet officially announced. They are the MOTORIZR Z8 slider and MOTOKRZR K3 clamshell.

Taking into account the internal camera, both models support 3G networking. By the way, the MOTOKRZR K3 is probably the very phone, “live” photos of which we published yesterday.
