Another new product for KDDI subscribers is Sanyo W51SA slider with a good display and 1GB of memory onboard. The TFT display features a 2.6” diagonal, a QVGA resolution and 262K colors. The slider has technological design and multi-color solution.

In addition to large memory size there is a slot for microSD cards (up to 2GB). Sanyo W51SA is equipped with a 2-megapixel camera, an FM-tuner. Measuring 51x105x21 mm it weighs 146 g. On a single charge the phone is good for 280 minutes in talk mode and 290 hours standby.

It’s possible to switch the screen in the landscape mode to receive TV programs, there is a sliding antenna for steady signal reception. Battery life in TV mode is about 5 hours, which is a good performance.

There was introduced a new mobile phone for KDDI CDMA 1X WIN networks. The W52T is designed by Toshiba. This is a slider with a big display – 3” and WVGA (480x800 pixels) resolution like in 7” displays for UMPC.

The big screen affected dimensions and weight, however this won’t prevent users who need a good display from buying the phone. Thus the phone is tuned for video services, besides it has advanced functionality – a 3.2-megapixel camera with auto focus, 1GB of internal memory and an expansion slot for microSD cards.

Sharp has designed a 3G FOMA phone for the Japanese operator NTT DoCoMo – the SH703i. The manufacturer calls the design ‘half-metallic” because of the visual partition of the top half. The top part hides an information OLED white backlit display.

The SH703i features a high-quality 2.4” mobile ASV LCD display, a 2-megapixel camera, a function to reduce viewing angles and a separate button to access most interesting functions.

NTT DoCoMo has introduced its FOMA P703i phone made by Panasonic. The construction and form of the buttons is called Wave Tile Keys.

The phone is packed in the clamshell form with 3D asymmetric design. The P703i features extended opportunities for e-mail creating with Deco-mail service.

In the Internet emerged some info on a new smartphone HTC Cavalier (S630), which isn’t yet officially announced. At Boy Genius Report site you can find a photo review of the model with the standard kit and the sales package. It seems the release should be soon. However Boy Genius notes that HTC forwarded the message to all distributors saying the release was postponed indefinitely.



According to the previous rumors, the Cavalier is the heir of HTC Excalibur smartphone, which was released last fall. These are the specs according to the source: a more powerful processor Samsung 400 MHz, a 2-megapixel camera, refreshed design and 3G networking including HSDPA.
