There is another new product by Grundig Mobile – the B700. This is a communicator powered by Linux OS and with the QWERTY-keyboard. The model is packed in a candy bar form-factor with the landscape oriented display.

If not for the unusual OS for this form-factor, the device is quite common. I’d not its light weigh and slimness.

The specs of Grundig B700:

Samsung: ever slimmer phone display    [ 27-02-2007 09:27 ]

Author: Verà Kozlova   Source: KoreaTimes     Translation by: Rytchkova Anja    Send news to friend  Discuss in forum

Samsung SDI goes on releasing “the world slimmest” LCD-displays competing only with its own models. In November the company introduced a 0.82-mm model, now the display got thinner to 0.74 mm.

The new display features a 2.3”diagonal and QVGA (240x320 pixels) resolution. Currently this is a just proto, but taking into account Samsung’s practice, the process won’t take much time to be completed.

Besides the company announced the mass production of 1.9-mm display modules from 2Q 2007. These modules are applied in the Ultra edition II series, which was introduced at 3GSM Congress. With the 0.74-mm displays the phones will be ever slimmer.
