Krusell’s Top 10 November    [ 03-12-2007 17:47 ]

Author: Irina Turina   Source: Cellular News     Translation by: Rytchkova Anja    Send news to friend  Discuss in forum

Krusell, the maker of carrying cases for portable electronics, has released its traditional Top 10 of popular cell phones (as it thinks). The list is based on sales in 50 countries over the month. In brackets we see the previous position:

1. (1) Nokia 6300
2. (2) Sony Ericsson K810i
3. (8) Sony Ericsson K850i
4. (3) Nokia N95
5. (5) Apple iPhone
6. (6) Nokia 3109/3110
7. (4) Nokia N73
8. (10) Sony Ericsson K530i
9. (-) Nokia 6500i
10. (-) Nokia 6120

In November the customers paid interest in Nokia and Sony Ericsson handsets. Apple iPhone has kept its position ¹5. Besides Sony Ericsson K850i soared from 3rd to 8th place, and Nokia 6500i and Nokia 6120 debuted in the Top 10 occupying 9th and 10th places. Krusell marked November as the “megapixel battle” with Nokia N95 yielding to Sony Ericsson K850i.

Nokia to come with an 8-megapixel N-series smarthone?    [ 03-12-2007 17:44 ]

Author: Irina Turina   Source: Unwiredview     Translation by: Rytchkova Anja    Send news to friend  Discuss in forum

The materials of the US Patent Office contain the info on a new Nokia slider. It is equipped with a camera module, which is located in an unusual place and can be revolved, and a flash, which can be hidden inside the device. Uncustomary for standard applications Nokia has provided a good image of the phone in addition to the schemes. The product is probably in the process. Under the camera lens we can hardly see an “8 megapixel” mark. Does it mean we are to see an 8-megapixel N-series smartphone next year?
