O2 Jet phone with long battery life    [ 10-10-2006 09:43 ]

Author: Verà Kozlova     Translation by: Rytchkova Anja    Send news to friend  Discuss in forum

The British operator O2 has released a mobile phone called O2 Jet. It doesn’t have a camera or an MP3-player (however you can set MP3 melodies for incoming calls). It’s quite a simple model, however it features long battery life on a single charge.

First of all, O2 Jet is meant for businessmen who need to talk much on the phone (the phone lasts for 9.9 hours in talk mode and over 540 hours standby).

The phone works in GSM (850/900/1800/1900 MHz) networks and supports GPRS and no 3G. Its LCD displays up to 65K colors. The only feature untypical for simple handsets is the support of Bluetooth and e-mail (POP3 and IMAP4) – the model is positioned as the business phone. Measuring 117x47x20 mm it weighs 121 g.

Author: Klimov Oleg   Source: www.slashphone.com     Translation by: Rytchkova Anja    Send news to friend  Discuss in forum

A non-official Sony Ericsson club has posted several photos of a probable DVB-H phone proto under the codename Adriana. This is the first product by SE supporting DVB-H TV. The phone carries 10 GB of internal memory onboard to record TV programs, a 3.5” 800x600 pixels touchscreen, the source says. Besides it is possible to operate the device by 4 angle buttons and a joystick. Probably the concept won’t be in mass production, however a DVB-H phone will extend the company’s portfolio, it’s a matter of time.
