SoftMaker Software has introduced a beta version of SoftMaker Office 2006 for Pocket PC. It contains TextMaker 2006 for Pocket PC and PlanMaker 2006 for Pocket PC. Both programs feature high functionality.

According to the developer, TextMaker and PlanMaker can work directly with Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel files omitting preliminary conversion and support format saving.

SoftMaker Office 2006 for Pocket PC is going through the beta-test stage and is available for free. The testing will be completed on October 31, and the package will cost ˆ69.95. Here you can learn more details and download SoftMaker Office 2006.

A little known company izenMobile founded in 2006 has developed several Windows Mobile smartphones and communicators. The first of them is called izenMobile Krma.

It is powered by Windows Mobile Pocket PC Phone Edition and packed in a candy bar form with the digital keyboard. The Krma is equipped with a 2-megapixel camera, a 2.2” LCD, an FM-tuner, an expansion slot for miniSD cards and Bluetooth interface. The device supports tri-band GSM (900/1800/1900 MHz). Other devices will be introduced till the end of the year.

In the Internet you can come across the info on a future product by i-mate. We have some preliminary pictures of the communicator, which looks quite original.
