Aigo has released a functional digital photo album UH-P706. It is very capacious – up to 160 GB HDD (there are several versions from 40 GB). Taking into account its functionality, it is close to media players, however its main opportunities involve info exchange between cameras and digital photo viewing.

Its display features a 3.6” diagonal and 16M colors. There is the support of JPEG, BMP, RAW and TIFF graphics, AVI and MPEG4 video and MP3 and WMA audio. The device is equipped with slots for SD, MMC, Memory Stick and CF cards.

LG Electronics has unveiled its development LG “e-book” – an ecological notebook fed by fuel cell batteries. It got the status “Red Dot: best of the best” for the high quality design in Red Dot nomination: “Best concept design – 2006”.

LG “e-book” involves batteries working on natural gas, methanol and other kinds of liquefied fuel. This is an ergonomic, lightweight and slim notebook, its construction ensures comfortable use and mobility. The notebook is equipped with 4 OLED displays at 4 sides and sensitive control elements.

There were over 478 products from 39 countries competing for the best design award, 12 nominees of 72 accredited products won the “Red Dot: best of the best” award.

Today Nokia introduced its quad-band GSM camera phone supporting UMA technology (Unlicensed Mobile Access). The technology implies the use of wideband Internet connection for mobile communication. The model is called Nokia 6086.

Nokia 6086 is a clamshell phone featuring BBB (without connection failure) switch between GSM and WLAN networks during phone talks or data transfer session on UMA technology. The advantage of UMA technology is that operators can provide voice and data transfer services via WLAN networks. It makes mobile services much more accessible and lowers costs on network deployment, and the users get all range of advantages related to voice calls via Internet and WLAN-radio access.
