Sony prepares its UMPC, rumors    [ 15-05-2006 16:59 ]

Author: Verà Kozlova   Source: MobilityToday     Translation by:    Send news to friend  Discuss in forum

In the Internet appeared some info (not yet confirmed officially) that Sony is preparing the release of its own ultra mobile PC. You can see some leaked photos and specs.

The device is supposed to be called Vaio UX. There is a 7” diagonal, a sliding QWERTY-keyboard and a fingerprints scanner to identify the user. The UMPS works on Intel Core Solo processor and has two cameras and an expansion slot for Memory Stick Duo cards.

I’d mark HDMI-port, the support of 3G networks, Wi-Fi wireless networks and Bluetooth interface.Vaio UX is expected to be powered by an ordinary Windows XP Pro instead of its Tablet Edition.
