At the Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3) show in Los Angeles SanDisk has introduced two “super” flash cards – Memory Stick PRO Duo Game capacious of 4 GB for Sony PSP users and a speedy RapidGX card of the same series for Sony PSP.

Memory Stick PRO Duo Game 4 GB card can store up to 64 hours of MP3 files, 20 or even more hours of video or 4 thousand digital photos. The shipments will start already this month, the recommended price makes up $219.99.

RapidGX is positioned as the fastest Memory Stick PRO Duo game card for Sony PSP. Using special card-reader the read/write speed achieves 15 Mbps, which is twice as high compared to the read/write speed of the console directly connected to PC.

It comes with a high-speed card-reader MicroMate optimized to RapidGX and enabling maximum data transfer speeds, and also a software to convert and transfer multimedia files to the console. Initially the card will be released with 1GB onboard at the recommended price of $84.99. The shipments start early in summer.

Today Panasonic has said it started working on technology to record digital HD (high definition) images to SD cards, following the AVCHD standard for digital HD camcorders. The company will also make new equipment for editing and viewing images.

The new technology for HD video recording to SD cards is based in the AVCHD standard applying highly effective compression and encoding technologies of HD image (1080i or 720p) to record it to 8 cm DVD disks. This technology involves MPEG-4 AVC/h.264 codec to compress video files and Dolby Digital (AC-3) or Line PCM for audio. It allows making compact video camcorders featuring high quality image and sound.

Motorola suffers enough from those who’s trying copying its “masterpiece” – Motorola RAZR. The company has reported its victory over one of them. It came to agreement with the Korean company KBT Mobile in the course of the court trial started in January on the infringement of patent, trademark and design of Motorola RAZR mobile phone.

Under this agreement KBT is bound to stop making and selling any RAZR clones. Besides KBT can’t help other companies create clones in any way. Motorola initiated investigation after clients’ complaints of the phones similar to RAZR phones sold in Asia. In particular, the model called V500 roused many questions, KBT promoted it in China, Hong Kong and Taiwan.
