Nokia and Deutsche Telekom to test dual-mode telephony

Deutsche Telekom Group has announced an integrated solution for dual-mode cell/ Wi-Fi T-One services, which will be tested on Nokia E60 and N80 smartphones by Nokia and T-Com, a division of Deutsche Telecom Group. According to Nokia, T-One will provide the users an easy and comfortable way to access both cell and fixed Wi-Fi networks.
There will be used T-Com hot spots to access fixed networks, at the same time using any connection type subscribers can use same voice and data-oriented services. The press release states that the E60 and the N80 smartphones are the first Nokia devices supporting Internet-telephony on SIP protocol.
