Motorola preparing new version of the RAZR V3x, rumors and spy photos [ 30-06-2006 16:59 ]

Engadget site with the link to insider sources has posted some info and photos of a new Motorola phone proto. The new model has similar specs with the RAZR V3x, but slightly different design.

The new model is supposed to support UMTS and EDGE data transfer standard in GSM networks (850/1900 MHz). The phone is said to be equipped with stereo speakers, a 2-megapixel camera for photos and a frontal VGA-camera for video telephony, 64 MB of internal memory, an expansion slot for microSD (TransFlash) cards and Bluetooth interface with A2DP profile. The device is expected to be announced in the US this year.

Dopod has released a 3G communicator CHT 9000 for the Taiwanese operator CHT (Chunghwa Telecom). This is another implementation of HTC Hermes platform recently announced by HTC under the name HTC TyTN.

I’d remind you that HTC decided to enter the market under the single brand and announced 2 HTC devices – HTC TyTN and HTC MTeoR. Dopod is a subsidiary of HTC and releases HTC devices under Dopod brand. Nevertheless we see that operator branded devices by HTC are still being released.

The communicator is designed for WCDMA and GSM/GPRS/EDGE networks and equipped with a 2.8” touchscreen LCD (QVGA, 65K colors), a sliding QWERTY-keyboard, a 2-megapixel camera and an expansion slot for microSD (TransFlash) cards. It is based on Samsung 400 MHz processor, 64 MB RAM and 128 MB flash memory. There is the support of Wi-Fi (802.11 b/g) wireless networks, Bluetooth 2.0 and USB interfaces. Measuring 112.5x58x21.95 mm it weighs 176 g. CHT 9000 is powered by Windows Mobile 5.0 with MSFP.

The Korean manufacturer KTFT has released in Korea a tiny mobile phone EV-K130, all dimensions are small – it’s not thick, not high and not wide. The phone is made in a slider form measuring 82x37x16.7 mm and weighing 73.5 g.

As for the specs, it comes with a 1.3-megapixel camera, an MP3-player, 128-tones polyphony, electronic dictionary, USB interface. There is 165 MB of internal memory to store data. The phone is recognized by PC as a USB-drive. There are two color solutions introduced – White and Black.
