Modern remote unlocking features to cars can also start up the engine, while the owner is within a certain distance of the car. That’s convenient during the winter time, when the engine needs to be warmed up.

Sarah Dodge, age 18, has a patent pending for starting up your car via your mobile phone. It works by calling your car from the phone and entering in a 3 digit number to start up the car. Unlike the existing systems this innovation doesn’t have reception zone limits. Technical details on the implementation of this system aren’t unveiled.

In the Internet emerged rumors and suggestions on the topic of the cooperation of Research in Motion (RIM) and Apple Computer. There are 3 possible scenarios: 1. the adaptation of iTunes software to BlackBerry devices (similar to the current use of Apple software with Motorola handsets); 2. the creation of iPhone based on Intel Hermon processor applied in BlackBerry 8700; 3. the release of a completely new device.

Well, nothing can be said for sure, there are just rumors.
