Krusell: Sony Ericsson W810i leads in June    [ 13-07-2006 09:59 ]

Author: Verà Kozlova     Translation by:    Send news to friend  Discuss in forum

Krusell, the Swedish carrying case maker, doesn’t make two separate ratings of smartphones and PDA two months in a row. It seems to unite the ratings. I’d remind you that the ratings are based on the monthly orders for mobile device cases and thus reflect real demand for mobile devices in over 50 countries.

Top 10 mobile devices in June 2006:

  • 1.(4) Sony Ericsson W810i
  • 2.(1) Motorola RAZR V3/ V3i /V3c
  • 3.(2) Sony Ericsson K750i/D750i/W800i
  • 4.(3) Nokia 6230/6230i
  • 5.(6) Nokia N70
  • 6.(5) Nokia 6280/6282
  • 7.(-) PalmOne Treo 600/650/700
  • 8.(7) Qtek 9100/ I-mate K-Jam
  • 9.(-) Motorola V1150/Razr V3X
  • 10.(10) Qtek S200/I-mate Jamin

You can see the previous position in brackets.

After 3 months of the leadership Motorola RAZR V3/V3i/V3c gave its position in Top 10 to Sony Ericsson W810i, which was ranked fourth in May, and tenth in April and March.

New rumors on the Hollywood communicator    [ 13-07-2006 09:35 ]

Author: Verà Kozlova   Source: Engadget Mobile     Translation by:    Send news to friend  Discuss in forum

Engadget Mobile has posted approximate specs of a new Palm communicator under the codename Hollywood and an unclear photo of it.

The communicator is said to support GSM networking, work on Intel XScale 412 MHz processor powered by Windows Mobile 5.0 and have 128 MB of memory onboard. Strangely they didn’t mention 3G networking, according to the info from the end of 2005 the Hollywood is a 3G-communicator. It is supposed to emerge in September.
