LG Electronics is selling its PDA Pocket PC with DMB-receiver in Korea for a year, and today the company said it had successfully developed TPEG (Transport Protocol Experts Group) for the PM800. Unlike an ordinary GPS system TPEC doesn’t require extra hardware to display info on the road traffic. Now the users of the PM800 can see a road jam or other traffic situation on the map online.

There emerged new rumors about a would-be player by Microsoft. Last week we mentioned that the company was preparing the release of a competitor to the popular Apple iPod player for the Christmas holidays. Now Seattle Times says the project under the Argo codename will extend the Xbox line. It will include the player and online services.

Other sources report the official name would be the Zune. On the picture below you can see the final design version of the Microsoft flagman MP3-player. However, it would be strange if this assumption will come true – you can see it with the naked eye that the similarity with the Apple product.

Sony Ericsson P990i was announced last October, and its release was suspended many times. Now the release date is eventually defined – 3Q 2006. Sony Ericsson P990i has been finally approved by the FCC.

The new model is based on Symbian OS 9.1/UIQ 3, supports GSM 900/1800/1900 and UMTS 2100 networking and has wide functional opportunities: a 2.8” touchscreen LCD, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 2.0, a 2-megapixel camera, a QWERTY-keyboard and so on.
