Author: Verà Kozlova Source: ce4arab.com Translation by: Rytchkova Anja
The same site, ce4arab.com has provided info on a new i-mate product. The communicator i-mate JAQ4 isn’t yet officially introduced, the event is expected in February 2007. On the face of it, this is another candy bar phone with the QWERTY-keyboard and a landscape oriented display following JAQ and JAQ3. The new device is peculiar for an integrated GPS module, thus the model can compete with iPAQ hw6910 and iPAQ hw6915 by Hewlett-Packard. It differs in the form of the display, which isn’t square like in iPAQ models. However some crucial info on the model is still lacking, for example, on CPU.
The specs of i-mate JAQ4:
- GSM (850/900/1800/1900 MHz), GPRS and EDGE
- 2.8” touchscreen display, QVGA (320x240 pixels), 65K colors
- QWERTY-keyboard
- 64 MB RAM and 128 MB flash ROM
- Wi-Fi (802.11b) and Bluetooth 1.2
- GPS SiRFstarIII module
- Slot for miniSD cards
- 1200 mAh battery
- Operating system: Windows Mobile 5.0 Pocket PC

Sony Ericsson Z310 – a stylish clamshell for ˆ150
[ 05-12-2006 01:18 ]
Author: Klimov Oleg Source: scr3.golem.de Translation by: Rytchkova Anja
Till the release of Sony Ericsson Z610 many users complained that the company didn’t have clamshell phones with bright design. The release of the Z610 showed that the company was ready to offer original solutions. Most likely, the success of the model set the ground for new cheaper models with similar design.
We mean the junior model Sony Ericsson Z310. These are the technical specs of the future bestseller (taking into account the price - ˆ150):
- Support of GSM 900/1800/1900, GPRS, EDGE;
- Internal LCD – 65K colors (for better power consumption), resolution – 128x160; external display – 96x64 monochrome;
- Built-in VGA-camera;
- SMS, EMS, MMS;
- E-mail client;
- Instant messaging;
- 72-tones polyphony;
- MP3-ring tones;
- Java MIDP 2.0, PlayNow;
- Connectivity – IrDA, Bluetooth;
- HTML-browser, WAP 2.0.
I’d note compact size and nice look – I feel the target auditorium will be ladies. At last have a look at high quality photos of Sony Ericsson Z310.
