New SD (SDHC) players Panasonic SV-SD800N and SV-SD400V    [ 23-08-2006 16:41 ]

Today Panasonic has announced two new SD players SV-SD800N and SV-SD400V supporting SDHC storage cards (up to 4 GB).

The models differ only in design and the sales kit, the senior model has brand system of noise reduction and a D-snap port to plug the device to audio peripherals, for example, active stereo speakers and music centers.

The technical specs of the SV-SD800N and SV-SD400V:

  • Frequency band: 20 Hz – 20 kHz

  • Weight: 26 g / 38.5 g (with the battery)

The start of sales is scheduled for September 8.

There appeared another model in the line of HDD media players – COWON A2-30-WH PMP equipped with a 30 GB HDD. The new product will be commercially available from August 26 for some $450.

For this price the buyer gets a bright huge LCD (480x272 pixels, 16 M colors), the support of XviD/WMV9/MPEG-4 formats and AVI/ASF/WMV/MP3/WMA/OGG/WAV JPEG/PNG/BMP files, the USB Host. Measuring 78x133x22 mm it weighs 298 g. The battery ensures 10 hours of video and 18 hours of audio playback.

Today there emerged more detailed specs and photos of this smartphone. Nokia E62 is equipped with a touchscreen 2.8” QVGA LCD, 90 MB of internal memory and built on S60 3rd edition.

In the Internet emerged live photos and video samples of BlackBerry Pearl 8100 communicator.

The device was rumored under different names: at first the communicator was called Stealth, then 8100 and at last it is rumored to come out in the second half of September from T-Mobile operator as BlackBerry Pearl. This is the first camera phone from RIM with multimedia functionality and with the slot for storage cards.



Under the preliminary info, BlackBerry Pearl is equipped with a camera with digital zoom and flash, a QVGA (240x320 pixels, 65K colors) LCD, 64 MB flash ROM and a slot for microSD cards. It is compatible with EDGE standard. The recommended price is expected to be $199.

We’ve mentioned in our news block that Sprint operator planed to release the Treo 700wx, an update of the Treo 700w smartphone (available from Verizon Wireless). Now we have a new confirmation – photos of the package and the picture of the smartphone with the specs.
