IXI Mobile released the Ogo CT-17 communicator    [ 28-04-2006 10:59 ]

Author: Verà Kozlova     Translation by:    Send news to friend  Discuss in forum

IXI Mobile, a solution maker for Ogo mobile communication, has announced the release of a new model – the Ogo CT-17. Initially the device was released in German at a big Internet provider 1&1 and Vodafone Germany, now it comes to the world market.

The communicator is made in a landscape oriented clamshell form, there is a QWERTY-keyboard inside. It is focused on the user, who seeks for communication opportunities in a mobile device first of all. So the Ogo CT-17 doesn’t have a camera. It supports WAP and HTML (to view Web-pages), e-mail (POP3 and IMAP), RSS, SMS and IM messages.

With Bluetooth interface it’s possible to plug a wireless headset. I’d mark, like other Ogo devices the new one is powered by IXI-Connect OS.

The specs of the Ogo CT-17:

  • GSM (900/1800 MHz) and GPRS
  • Color CSTN LCD, 240x160 pixels
  • QWERTY-keyboard
  • 16 MB RAM and 32 MB flash-memory
  • 16-tones polyphony
  • Bluetooth 1.1
  • Li-Ion battery
  • Talk time – 2.5 hours
  • Standby time - 120 hours
  • Dimensions – 114x75x25 mm
  • Weight - 159 g
