Samsung Electronics has released the SCH-V870 mobile phone with the size of a credit card in Korea. Its design resembles the calculator, so we have a version of the SGH-P300 for CDMA networks.

The phone measures 87x54x8.9 mm. It is equipped with a 1.3-megapixel camera, an MP3-player and an expansion slot. There is an electronic dictionary and the function to print photos. It costs 500 thousand Won, i.e. some $525. The sales package includes extra battery capacious of 400 mAh.

More and more companies announce their plans to start sales of notebooks with HD DVD optical drive. Fujitsu has also unveiled its notebook with this drive in Japan – the FMV-BIBLO NX95S/D.

The device is based on Intel Core Duo processor. It is equipped with a 17” LCD, Mobility Radeon X1400 video adapter, 1 GB RAM and two 320 GB HDD. The sales of this model are expected in June. The company has also introduced the version without HD DVD – the NX90, which will be available in April.

The American operator Virgin Mobile and Kyocera Wireless have released the Switch Back, a mobile phone aimed at the young people. It features interesting design slightly resembling the matryoshka. This is a folding phone with landscape orientation, there is a QWERTY-keyboard inside for a more comfortable text input. When the phone is folded up, you can access an ordinary digital keyboard.

An internal LCD is landscape oriented for better viewing of content and playing games. The phone supports AOL Instant Messenger service. The sales will start in April. The recommended price makes up $149.99.

Today at IT Korea LG Electronics has introduced another mobile phone supporting T-DMB – LG-KB1500/LG-LB1500. It is meant for the Korean market and packed in the slider form with the landscape rotating LCD.

It’s a slim handset – 19.6 mm. The LCD has a 2.2” diagonal, QVGA (240x320 pixel) resolution and 262K colors. It also features wide viewing angles.

The phone weighs 120 g. LG plans to start the sales of LG-KB1500/LG-LB1500 in May.
