Notebook makers report high growth of sales

Taiwanese mobile PC makers report high growth of sales marked last month, the positive dynamics concerns the four leading companies: Compal, Inventec, Quanta Computer and Wistron.
For example, Quanta Computer supplied 1.5 million notebooks, a 15% rise against February. The total shipments amounted to 4.1 million units in 1Q, a 25% rise compared with the year-ago quarter. Thus the company yielded $1.2 billion in March.
As for the rest companies of the top 4, they have similar growth dynamics, which is another confirmation of the fact this trend involved the whole mobile PC industry in Taiwan.

According to the estimates of Cellular Telecommunications & Internet Association (CTIA), there appeared 25.7 million new mobile service subscribers over 2005 in America, outrunning the previous annual growth record set in June.
The total wireless subscribers’ base reached 207.9 million by the end of 2005. The figure makes almost 70% of the US population. To compare with 182.1 million subscribers by the end of 2004, the base grew by 14.17%.

There appeared a new MP3-player iRiver N12 in Korea. This is the third model of the iRiver N pendant series, which is positioned as a fashion accessory. Well, the front panel of iRiver N11 is decorated with Swarovski crystal.
The player cover with the headphones jack has different design, there seems to be the possibility to plug other headphones. Unfortunately this info is unclear, as the only official info is available in Korean.
