Motorola has also announced 3 new versions of Motorola RAZR V3i mobile phone. During 2Q we’ll see in shops the following color solutions of the model – Dark Blue, Orange Rose and Purple.

On the eve of the CTIA Wireless 2006 exhibition starting tomorrow Motorola has made some announcements. The company has extended its CDMA-portfolio with two new phones – Motorola RAZR V3m and Motorola W315.

Motorola RAZR V3m is equipped with an mP3-player abd an expansion cards of microSD (TransFlash) format (up to 1 GB). There is a 1.3-megapixel camera with video capture opportunity and Bluetooth interface. There is the support of EV-DO high speed data transfer standard.

Motorola W315 is positioned as an entry-level solution and looks like the PEBL model except for the sticking antenna. According to the company, the shell makes the impression of being soft to touch. Its external screen has a portrait form, and the internal one features 1.8” diagonal, 128x160 pixels resolution and 65K colors. It supports MMS, EMS and SMS messaging.



Motorola V3m will be commercially available in 2Q and Motorola W315 – in the second half 2006.

At the website of Expansys online shop you can come across some info on new Qtek smartphones – the S300 and 8600.

Qtek S300 is based on multimedia HTC Muse platform. The device is equipped with 7GB of flash memory, a 2-megapixel camera, a square 240x240x65K color LCD, an expansion slot for microSD (TransFlash) cards, an FM-tuner and a TV-out.

Qtek 8600 smartphone is based on HTC Breeze platform and positioned as the business device with the support of UMTS and GSM networks. The model features small size and is quite slim – 112.4x46x14.8 mm. There are 64 MB RAM, 128 MB flash memory and a microSD (TransFlash) slot.

Vertu, a Nokia’s unit engaged in making prestige and expensive handsets, has created a series of phones called the Racetrack Legends. There are 6 models, which will be released in limited edition per 1000 units. Currently there are 2 models introduced – the Monza and the Silverstone. The series is devoted to races and these two models are named after the popular tracks.

The Monza has red sides and the Silverstone – green, besides the track maps are engraved on the shell. The models are based on the Vertu Ascent series and have similar specs. Like in the Ascent series they are made of non-standard materials, for example, the LCDs have Sapphire coating.

Today Sony Ericsson has introduced its inexpensive folding phone Z525. It is designed for the American market and represents an update of Sony Ericsson Z520. Unlike its forerunner the Z525 supports Push-To-Talk technology. The phone is equipped with a VGA-camera and Bluetooth interface. There is the support of stream video and also video write/read. The sales are set for 2Q 2006.
