3D is the latest buzz term in cinema and it's encroaching on the mobile space too, whether there is any genuine desire for it not. I digress though, the idea behind 3D displays on moiles is obviously to make content more appealling and fun, etc. Well you might be forgiven for thinking that a cramp would be put on that by having to wear 3D specs, but not so the Sharp 003SH, about to be launched on NTT DoCoMo this December.
The handset, as you can see from the video, doesn't require any special glasses to function and actually seems to work pretty well. The handset itself is actually not bad at all beyond the headline feature, it packs in a 1 GHz processor, 9.6 MP camera with 720p recording and a digital TV tuner.
Of course this is a Japan only affair with no word on when, if ever, it will be released elsewhere.

Of all the uses one can think of for an iPad I have to admit that this is pretty novel. Some enterprising chap decided to use his iPad as a placard during a protest in Lithuania. No idea what the protest is about, but stillkudos on the 21st century placard!

It's been rumoured for a while now that Sony Ericssona re working on handsets for Windows Phone 7 and that theywould likely not appear until next year. Well what could be the first glimpse of those handsets has appeared in a YouTube video.
The video shows allegedly leaked slides containing information about two handsets, the X7 and the X7 Mini.
The X7 is the bigger of the two with a 4.3 inch screen and a 1.2 GHz processor powering the device. The camera isn't too shabby either coming in at 8.1 MP. The strangest aspect of the X7 though, and possibly the thing that reveals this to be a hoax, is that the slide claims it supports HDMI. Windows Phone 7 apparently doesn't support HDMI so it's hard to reconcile these two conflicting ideas.
With a 3.5 inch screen the X7 Mini is the smaller of the devices although we're not sure if a 3.5 inch screen counts as 'mini'? At any rate it packs in a 1 GHz processor and sees the camera being upped over the X7 to 10.1 MP with a x3 optical zoom and full on xenon flash.
