The web is now speculating about images of a new Samsung-branded handset, that hasn't been officially introduced yet - housed in the slider type design, it comes with a 5 Mpix camera, much like the recently inaugurated Samsung SGH-G600. Apart from this, there is a Xenon flash, 3x optical zoom a sliding camera shutter. The novelty also sports 3G connectivity with HSDPA support for fast data connections.
Although, these are only speculations, since no confirmation has arrived from Samsung's camp. As the source puts it, this handset will debut as the G800, but that's about it - no more details or possible release dates are available.

It seems Samsung Electronics is planning to follow in the footsteps of LG and its mobile phone co-developed with Prada - in a word, they want to come up with an own fashion-savvy phone. Could it be something else, if they are teaming up with Giorgio Armani? Though, there is no official word on this as yet. The rumor has it, Samsung is currently negotiating, but no deal has been inked so far.
Korea Herald reports that an unknown informer in Samsung says we might see Samsung Armani European release already in October. Also, according to his words, the new gadget will come in glammed up to the bone (which is quite natural) and also with a unique user interface plus exclusive content.

Ericsson and Texas Instruments are planning to join forces to create solutions for 3G-enabled mobile devices - the technology, the companies are developing, will combine small and power efficient 3G modens from Ericsson with high-performance OMAP applications processors from TI.
Ericsson and Texas Instruments stated that their solutions will enable handset manufacturers to differentiate their products through rich, easy-to-use and customizable user interfaces, and through a robust and flexible application architecture and eventually reduce complexity, investment and time-to-market. Handsets based on these solutions are expected to be available on the market in the second half of 2008.
