Week 9 UK Launch for Kurara?    [ 19-01-2010 20:13 ]

Rumour has it that the Symbian handsets known as Kurara, the Sony Ericsson with HD video recording remember, will be making ana ppearance in the UK in early March. More specifically the talk is that it will appear in week nine, which is the last week of February and into the first week of March. There is no word on whether it will be joined by its sibling Kanna, which is essentially a slide out keyboard version of Kurara. Kurara, as you will recall, comes with HD video recording, 256 MB RAM, a Cortex A8 processor and an 8 MP camera. Price wise it's expected to go for around the 500 euro mark SIM free and no doubt it will be free on contract. Speaking of contracts the UK's 3 network has apparently said they will definitely be stocking the handset.

Samsug Genio Slide ... er CorbyPro Available in the UK    [ 19-01-2010 20:09 ]

Author: Irina Turina   Source: IntoMobile     Translation by: Administrator    Send news to friend  Discuss in forum

Like all good Samsung handsets (and LG it has to be said) the Genio is soon to appear in the UK under a new guide ... the Genio Slide, or rather the Samsung CorbyPro to give it its proper name. Vodafone will be your network of choice should you wish to bag yourself one of these and you'll be in the mood for a bargain no doubt given that it's aimed at a more mid-range section of the market, certainly not the ultra high-end so it should be affordable for most people, especially on contract. Like the other Genio this handset comes with changeable fascias, not exactly a major feature, but important for some we suppose. To be fair the handset itself packs in HSDPA, GPS, and WiFi. The screen, in keeping with its market segment, is resistive and the camera isn't too shabby either at 3 MP.
