Sony Ericsson Kurara - Satio Lite?    [ 28-10-2009 16:44 ]

Author: Irina Turina   Source: SE-NSE     Translation by: Administrator    Send news to friend  Discuss in forum

Rumours are starting to circulate on the web of a 'Satio lite' apparently in the works over at Sony Ericsson. The rumour goes that Sony Ericsson are planning to introduce this new handset next year at the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona, the very same venue that they choose to introduce Satio (named Idou at the time). Apparently the new handset, dubbed Kurara for the moment, will feature S60 5th Edition and a full touchscreen just like Satio, but instead of Satio's 12.1 MP camera Kurara is said to sport an 8 MP camera. If all this proves correct it would be a fairly significant development, not just for Sony Ericsson, which has lacked a wide range of touchscreen handsets, but also for Symbian touchscreen handsets, which have so far been confined to a handful of models. It would also demonstrate Sony Ericsson's willingness to adopt a variety of platforms given that they are also actively producing WinMo and Anroid handsets.
