GPush Might Bring Push GMail to the iPhone    [ 07-07-2009 19:11 ]

GMail users have been left on the sideline sof push email on their iPhones, until now ... perhpaps. A new app that is currently pending approval at the App Store might just change that. The app, called GPush, will push new emails straight to your iPhone once you've completed the setup, just pop in your username and password basically. It's not just the conveninece of not having to actually go into the mail app and manually check your GMail account that the app will dispense with, it will also dispense with the processor cycles and battery drain that accompanies those manual checks. Price wise it's probably going to be around the 79p mark given that it's American price is $0.99. Hopefully Apple pass this one.

Vodafone Offers Free Euro Romaing for Flat Fee    [ 07-07-2009 18:50 ]

Author: Ivanov Konstantin   Source: Pocket-lint     Translation by: Administrator    Send news to friend  Discuss in forum

Vodafone UK really seems to be going for the roaming market in a big way. First we saw the network scrap oaming fees for personal customers this summer and now we have the launch of a new business tariff that does the same thing. For £20 per month per person Vodafone will scrap the cost of romaing in select European countries. Incoming calls are also free. The countries are France, Spain, Germany, Italy, Greece, Czech Republic, Hungary, Portugal, Malta, Netherlands and Romania. Curiously Belgium isn't included, a bit odd given that Belgium is the heart of the EU. At any rate this is sure to be welcome news for business travellers and will add further pressure for other networks to come up with their own roaming tariffs, which up until now have been poor value at best.
