Firmware update for Nokia's 5800 now available    [ 16-01-2009 01:09 ]

A firmware update (version v11.0.008), for Nokia's touchscreen-equipped 5800 handset, which has apparently been known about since last month, is now available to download from Nokia's Software Updater. Those that purchased the 5800 this month will probably find that the new firmware is already loaded on their phone - it's those people that bought the device at launch that will probably have to update their handsets. This firmware update is quite a large one - as you'd expect, the basics, such as overall system stability and performance. Other improvements in the update include: a Google Search fix, fixes for flash content, fixes for applications crashing - such as Phonebook and Messaging, and some general UI tweaks.
