Nokia's E63 spotted once again    [ 30-10-2008 20:59 ]

Nokia's not yet announced E63, which, essentially, is an E71, in plastic casing, and has slighly lesser specs, has been spotted once again, this time, at the Symbian Smartphone Show.

From the image below, it's known that the E71 has a bigger space bar, than the E63, as well as two new keys. It's also worth noting that the E63 has its own character key, and its own control key, which the E71 does not. As the E63 is not yet announced, there is no word on either pricing, or availability.

Motorola release Q3 earnings, $397 million in losses    [ 30-10-2008 20:04 ]

Author: Serge Novikov   Source: engadget mobile     Translation by: Administrator    Send news to friend  Discuss in forum

Motorola have released their Q3 earnings for this year, revealing a loss of $397 million. To add to the bad news, as was reported yesterday, the company plans to primarily focus on Google's open-source Android Operating System. However, these handsets won't be appearing until the second half of next year, or, even early 2010, at the latest. In terms of handsets shipped in Q3 this year, the company shipped 25.4 million handsets, down from 37.2 million, compared to Q3 last year. Hopefully their Android handsets, especially the social networking focused one steers the company around, when they eventually arrive.
